Handmade lamp family designed to capture the qualities of Danish Design. Through craftsmanship, materials and design styles seen through the history of Danish and Scandinavian Design.
Spring 2025 | Red Oak, Aluminum and Stonehenge.
During a month long trip to Copenhagen I visited historical design houses such as P.P. Møbler, Fredericia and more.
Inspired by the rich Danish design history, I aimed to create a lamp that would be a culmination of my experience with Danish ethos:
-Craftsmanship / longevity
-Natural materials
-Simplified & approachable forms
-Repetition of shapes & forms
-Intentional casting of light
-warm aesthetics
Ideation was directed by the interpreted qualities of Danish Design.
This exploration lead to a physical prototype and then on to complete forms.
